Axel Himer was born in 1965 in Baden-Baden and is considered as one of the best and innovative bespoke shoemakers. Under the motto “form follows function” the skillful orthopaedic and bespoke shoemaker has crafted finest custom made shoes for all circumstances of his global customers. Since 2009 Axel Himer crafts custom made shoes in the Cologne branch of Himer Maßschuhe.

Himer’s footwear can be found in different museums and exhibitions as well as on some celebrities’ feet. Even the shoe industry consults Axel Himer. He holds seminars about shoes style and shoe care throughout the world.

German newspapers FAZ and “Die Welt” as well as the London Times cover his legendary custom made sports shoes. There are also several contributions on international TV.
